The GEO-data group is using a LECO SC-144 DR carbon/sulfur analyzer, in order to achieve reliable analytic results. These parameters are of prime interest for the HC- industry - and particular for „shale gas “- exploration activities. The total organic content in the rock plays an important role for the adsorption capacity of gases and is a basic parameter, in order the estimate the potential of „shale gas “-reservoirs.
